Established in 1992, Hard Santé holds a central position in the Reunion island dental landscape. Based on the island, the company offers a comprehensive range of consumables and essential dental peripherals to local Dentists and healthcare specialists.

The mission
 

Esokia's crucial role in this project was to materialize Hard Health's vision by developing a robust and user-friendly e-commerce website on the Magento 2 platform. This involved creating a digital environment where visitors could not only discover Hard Health's products and services but also benefit from a smooth and intuitive user experience, thanks to Magento 2's advanced customization and management capabilities.

Through close collaboration and a thorough understanding of Hard Health's specific needs, Esokia strove to provide a tailor-made solution that met the expectations of the company and its customers.

 

Team Composition
 

In the scope of the project, Esokia's dedicated team consists of seven members, each with specific responsibilities:

  • Digital project manager: Responsible for coordination and communication with the client. The digital project manager served as the focal point for defining the project's needs and functional specifications. They ensured overall project supervision, ensuring progress within deadlines and in accordance with client expectations.

     

  • Designer: Tasked with bringing Hard Health's aesthetic vision to life, the designer crafted the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of the site. Through creating appealing and functional designs, the designer contributed to making Hard Health's e-commerce site visually pleasing and easy to navigate.

     

  • Technical lead: Responsible for defining the project's technical specifications and overseeing code quality. Their expertise was essential in ensuring that the developed site met the highest standards of performance and security.

 

  • Magento Back-end developer and HTML/CSS Front-end developer: These developers were responsible for the technical implementation of the project. The Magento Back-end developer focused on configuring and developing features specific to Magento 2, while the HTML/CSS Front-end developer transformed visual designs into functional web code, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.

     

  • QA tester: Tasked with ensuring the quality and reliability of the e-commerce site, the QA tester conducted rigorous testing at each stage of development. Their crucial role was to detect and report any malfunctions or anomalies, thereby allowing for the rectification of issues before the final deployment of the site.

     

  • DevOps: Responsible for technical infrastructures and deployment, their expertise in managing servers and technical environments was essential in ensuring the availability and optimal performance of Hard Health's e-commerce site.

 

What were the main objectives of the team regarding the project?

The team's mission was to achieve several objectives specified in Hard Health's requirements, including implementing a new graphic charter, creating new user journeys, and most importantly, integrating with the EBP (Enterprise Resource Planning) ERP used by the client for many years.

 

What were the main challenges faced, and how did the team overcome them?

The primary challenges revolved around integrating the EBP ERP with Magento 2. This integration was critical as the EBP solution had never been specifically integrated with Magento 2 before. To overcome this obstacle, the team had to collaborate closely with the software publisher to define and describe an exchange protocol between the two platforms, ensuring smooth and effective communication between the ERP and the e-commerce site.

For this project, Magento 2 was chosen, a renowned e-commerce CMS known for its reliability and functional versatility.
