"Esokia in Uzbekistan marks an exciting chapter in our journey in IT outsourcing as an agency dedicated to IT excellence," says Michel Demari, Co-Founder of Esokia. For the past 15 years, Esokia has been distinguished by its team of over 100 experts based in France, Mauritius and Madagascar.

Specialized in IT outsourcing, Esokia recently broadened its horizons to Central Asia with the inauguration of our office in Jizzakh, a city on the outskirts of Tashkent. Uzbekistan, as the crossroads of Central Asia, is entering a new era of openness, massively attracting foreign investment, including from Esokia. A former Soviet republic, the country now welcomes capital from the USA, Europe, Turkey, Korea, Israel and the Gulf, reinforcing its position as a major economic player.

Esokia's expansion is part of this dynamic, helping to shape a promising future and illustrating Uzbekistan's bold vision on the world stage.

IT Park and the Zero Risk Program

Our adventure to Uzbekistan was preceded by an invitation from IT Park, a curiosity that turned into a deep fascination for the potential of this fast-growing country. In a recent interview, Michel Demari shared the motivations behind our bold decision to explore Uzbekistan's rapidly expanding IT market.

Our new company, EBM Digital, is based in Jizzakh, deliberately choosing this locality for its attractive living environment and proximity to nature. This reflects our commitment not just to providing IT services, but also to fully integrating our presence into local life.

One of the crucial reasons for choosing Uzbekistan was the exceptional support offered by IT Park, in particular through its "Zero Risk" program, designed to ease companies' first years of operation. Michel Demari expressed his confidence in the effectiveness of this program, underlining IT Park's efforts to simplify the establishment of foreign companies.

Overcoming the Language Barrier and Investing in Development

Our approach goes beyond simply providing IT services; it aims to overcome the language barrier. Michel Demari stressed the importance of developing English language skills among Uzbek developers, recognizing communication as a major challenge. Despite this, he was optimistic about Uzbekistan's progress in this area and stressed the need to continue investing in language development.

Comparing the bureaucratic process in France to the smoother experience in Uzbekistan, the co-founder praised the IT Park hosting program as a unique offer that stands out from experiences in other countries where Esokia has expanded its activities.

Uzbekistan's Expansion Targets and Attractive Potential

Looking ahead, Esokia aims to build up a core team of 10 to 15 people by the end of 2024, gradually increasing this number to around 100 employees over the next three to five years. Michel Demari sees attractive potential in Uzbekistan for IT outsourcing, drawing a parallel with the company's success in Mauritius, where it has successfully developed a thriving IT sector.

As Esokia embarks on the first stages of its adventure in Uzbekistan, Michel Demari remains optimistic about the growth of the country's IT sector. He looks forward to a fruitful partnership that will not only benefit Esokia, but also contribute to the development of Uzbekistan's IT landscape.

Esokia opens up new IT horizons in Uzbekistan

Esokia's story in Uzbekistan represents an exciting adventure in the evolving IT landscape of this Central Asian country. With a commitment to collaboration, language development and long-term growth, our adventure in Uzbekistan is a testament to the country's potential as an emerging IT destination in the region.
