Some smiles speak louder than others. The children of the non-profit organization in the center of the island, aged from 3 months to 15 years, tell a story of resilience and hope. These youngsters find not only a roof over their heads, but also a helping hand towards a brighter future. And that future is getting a little brighter, through the commitment of Pascal Mennesson, co-founder of Maltem, and Esokia.
A project that makes a difference
Together, the Maltem Group and Esokia have decided to provide much more than just financial support. By providing a new space for play and relaxation, they are giving these children a shared space in which to contribute to their personal development. "This dedicated corner will offer them a place where they can escape, recharge their batteries and, above all, remain children," explains Pascal Mennesson, visibly inspired by this initiative, which is particularly close to his heart.
During our visit, we discovered a place that was modest, but bursting with life. Welcomed by the children's smiles, we chatted with the association's managers about how to develop the space. Once finalized, this project will transform a simple courtyard into a true haven of peace, where the young residents can play, have fun and grow in a more serene setting.
A breath of life for these children
Every weekend, sports and music teachers, as well as a psychologist, come to lead workshops and support the children in their personal reconstruction. This play area then becomes an extension of this valuable work, offering a new place for relaxation and creativity.
For the manager, this support is a breath of fresh air. “This donation is a real boost. It allows us to create a setting where the children can finally develop to the full," she explains. This project, which is part of a dynamic of solidarity, represents much more than a simple improvement of the premises. It symbolizes a deep commitment to the future of these vulnerable children.
Continuity of commitment
For Pascal Mennesson and Maltem, this initiative is a continuation of the charitable actions already undertaken in favor of child protection. “Supporting these young people means investing in their future. It allows them to dream, to project themselves, despite the obstacles,” emphasizes Pascal, resolutely optimistic about the impact of this action.
A priceless gift
This renovation project is more than just an end-of-year gesture; it's a real gift of life for these children. By offering them a space where they can blossom, Esokia and Maltem are giving them much more than games: they're giving them back a piece of their childhood.
